The Windows 7 host credentials manager never puts up a password save dialogue. On the host brings up the Windows XP user login screen with the "XPMuser" account name filled in, but the XP user password must be manually typed. The Windows 7 host is always fully up-to-date with respect to Windows Update.Īt some point after any reinstallation of Windows 7, the Windows XP Mode user loses the ability to store its login credentials in the host Windows 7 credentials manager, so that the experience is no longer seamless: any Windows XP Mode application shortcut I use Windows XP Mode on Windows 7 圆4 Ultimate SP1 for a very few programs or hardware that have no Windows 7 compatibility. ![]()
